All Teams from Hebei University’s School of Electronic and Information Engineering Win National Awards at the 20th “Siemens Cup” National Finals

The 20th “Siemens Cup” China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge National Finals concluded on August 14–18 at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (Changping Campus). All six teams dispatched by Hebei University’s School of Electronic and Information Engineering secured national-level awards, demonstrating solid professional competence, steady on-site performance, and seamless teamwork. In total, they earned 3 Special Prizes, 9 First Prizes, and 5 Second Prizes.

Specifically, two teams in the Information Networking category won a National Special Prize (4th place nationwide) and a National First Prize (9th place nationwide) respectively, marking a historic breakthrough for the university in this category. Three students in the Discrete Industry Automation (Logic Algorithms) category received a National First Prize. Three students in the Sustainable Development ESG category earned a National First Prize. Two students in the Industrial Embedded System Development category won a National Second Prize, and three students in the Discrete Industry Motion Control category also received a National Second Prize. In addition, the university was honored with the Outstanding Organization Award and the Outstanding Mentor Award in recognition of its exceptional event coordination and high-quality faculty guidance.

During the preparation period, the school coordinated technical support and logistical arrangements, while the faculty team conducted multiple rounds of specialized training focusing on key areas such as system scheme design, debugging drills, and on-the-spot adaptability. The students repeatedly refined their technical proposals and continuously optimized parameter details, with both teachers and students working together to transform their daily training outcomes into composed performances during the competition. This yea’s competition was based on real-world engineering problems in the field of intelligent manufacturing, with a focus on evaluating participants’ professional skills, innovative thinking, and teamwork capabilities.

In recent years, the School of Electronic and Information Engineering has consistently promoted the deep integration of course teaching, experimental practice, and discipline competitions, actively building high-level innovation practice platforms.
