President of the University of Jaén Leads Delegation on Visit to Hebei University

From September 22 to 23, Nicolás Ruiz Reyes, President of the University of Jaén in Spain, led a delegation on a visit to Hebei University. Liu Bing, Secretary of the CPC Hebei University Committee, met with the delegation. Meng Qingyu, President of Hebei University, and Liu Xiuling, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hebei University Committee and Vice President of Hebei University, attended the discussion meeting.

Liu Bing welcomed the delegation from the University of Jaén. He introduced the history and development of Hebei University as well as its achievements in education, and expressed the hope that the visit would serve as an opportunity to expand cooperation in multiple areas, including joint educational programs, faculty training, student exchanges, and collaborative research. Meng Qingyu expressed the hope that the two universities would uphold the principles of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, as well as pragmatism and a commitment to truth, in order to achieve complementary strengths, resource sharing, and collaborative development.

Nicolás Ruiz Reyes expressed his gratitude for the university’s warm reception. He said that the visit was aimed at promoting long-term and stable strategic cooperation between the two universities and building a bridge for academic and cultural exchanges between China and Spain.

During the discussion meeting, the two sides engaged in practical discussions and consultations on specific areas of cooperation. During the visit, the delegation toured relevant laboratories and teaching and research platforms at the Hebei University-University of Central Lancashire School of Media and Creative Industries, the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, the School of Cyberspace Security and Computer Science, the School of Quality and Technical Supervision, the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, the School of Medicine, and the affiliated hospital.

Relevant officials from the Office of International Cooperation, Office of Academic Affairs, Finance Office, School of Life Sciences, School of Electronic and Information Engineering, School of Cyberspace Security and Computer Science, School of Quality and Technical Supervision, School of Mathematics and Information Science, School of Chemistry and Materials Science, School of Physical Science and Technology, and School of International Exchange and Education of Hebei University, as well as the Vice President for Teaching, Vice President for International Affairs, and other relevant personnel from the University of Jaén, participated in the relevant activities.
