Hebei University Signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with European Green Cities Development Foundation
In the afternoon of March 30th, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation between Hebei University and European Green Cities Development Foundation and the Green Cities Exchange Meeting were held in the Wusi Road Campus of Hebei University. Representatives from both sides—Shen Shigang, vice-president of Hebei University and Van Bert, co-founder of the European Green Cities Development Foundation, signed the memorandum of cooperation. Wang Lizhong, director of Foreign Affairs Office of People’s Government of Hebei Province; Spezben, director-general of the International Affairs Bureau of the European Union at the South Holland of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands, have been witnesses to the signing. Following the signing ceremony, the Green Cities Exchange Meeting was held. Shen Shigang said in the conference that Hebei and South Holland were sister provinces. The signed project is one of the key cooperation projects between the two provinces. It is hoped that the two sides will enhance communication and cooperation to provide effective solutions for the sustainable development of the city and the maintenance of the pleasant living environment.
Subsequently, Prof. Yang Sanqiang, associate dean of the college of civil engineering and architecture; Prof. Wang Hongjie, director of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental governance, also the director of Xiong'an Institute of Eco-Environment, respectively carried out academic exchanges with experts and scholars from Netherlands. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the construction of sponge cities and water resources protection and utilization and agreed to enhance communication and cooperation in the respective fields in the future.
