HBU Participated in the Online Exchange Meeting Held by Hebei Province and Buenos Aires Province of Argentina

Recently, the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Hebei Province and the provincial government of Buenos Aires, Argentina, jointly held an online exchange meeting. Ye Changqing, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Hebei Province, Mario Porto, Deputy Secretary General of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, Martin Rozengart, Director of the International Cooperation Bureau of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, and Juan Luis Merega, Director of the International Relations Department of the National University of Quilmes, Argentina, attended the meeting. Shen Shigang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of HBU, attended the meeting.

Ye Changqing and Mario Porto addressed the meeting respectively. The two sides retrospected their long-standing friendly exchanges, introduced their own resources and industrial development and both expressed that they will continue to enhance their cooperation, strengthen and deepen their practical cooperation in various fields through a series of large activities based on the 30th anniversary of the friendly conclusion between provinces and states.

Shen Shigang introduced HBU’s basic situations and showed appreciation for the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Hebei Province to establish such a good platform for the cooperation between our two universities. He also expressed that HBU will continue to enhance mutual understandings and close communication with the National University of Quilmes, Argentina, promote and expand the international cooperation between the two sides as well as boost economic, cultural and educational exchanges between Hebei Province and Buenos Aires Province, Argentina.

After that, Juan Luis Melega and others introduced the history, development and building characteristics of National University of Quilmes, and expressed their willingness to cooperate with HBU in teacher-student exchanges, scientific research, and Chinese language promotion.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between China and Argentina, as well as the 30th anniversary of the friendly conclusion between Hebei Province and Buenos Aires Province. This video meeting aims at enhancing the educational cooperation between the two Provinces, promote the friendly exchanges and in-depth docking between HBU and National University of Quilmes and further strengthen exchanges between the two Provinces as well as boost the in-depth development of the relationship between Provinces and States.
