On May 26, Song Fengxuan, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hebei University Committee and Vice President of Hebei University, met with a visiting delegation led by Walter Lane, Academic Director of Health Industry Management and Chair of the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of New Orleans (UNO), at the Wusi Road Campus.

Song Fengxuan extended a warm welcome to Walter Lane and his delegation, providing an overview of the university's latest developments and the progress of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs between the two institutions. He emphasized the importance of building on the existing partnership to deepen comprehensive collaboration, leveraging the complementary strengths of both universities' educational resources. The focus, he noted, should be on cultivating international talent, enhancing faculty training and exchanges, and expanding global research cooperation. These efforts aim to establish a platform for nurturing high-end nursing and health management professionals with international perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills. He expressed hope that the two universities would work together to excel in the Sino-foreign cooperative Master's program in Nursing (Health Management) and contribute positively to Sino-American higher education exchanges.

Walter Lane introduced UNO's faculty arrangements for the cooperative program and spoke highly of Hebei University's professionalism and openness in international educational collaboration. He stated that the University of New Orleans greatly values its partnership with Hebei University and looks forward to further strengthening ties between the two institutions. He expressed a desire to deepen academic, research, and teaching exchanges, aiming to establish the program as a flagship model of Sino-American educational cooperation.

Following the meeting, the 2025 Joint Management Committee Conference for the Sino-foreign Cooperative Master's Program in Nursing (Health Management) was held. The committee elected and approved its new chair, vice chair, and members. Yin Xiaoping, Dean of the School of Nursing, reported on the program's progress to the committee.
