Professor Zhang Tiejun of UAE Masdar Institute of Science and Technology Visited Hebei University

摘要: On March 28th, Professor Zhang Tiejun from UAE Masdar Institute of Science and Technology visited Hebei University.

On March 28th, Professor Zhang Tiejun from UAE Masdar Institute of Science and Technology visited Hebei University, escorted by Li Shoumin, the director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Hebei Education Department. First, Professor Zhang visited the School of Journalism and the National Development Research Center of Islamic Society and exchanged views with Han Lixin who was the dean of the school of Journalism and deputy president Peng Huanping, Professor BaiGui on cooperation between countries that joint in The Belt and Road Initiative and Chinese-UAE Science and Technology Forum that Masdar Institute of Science and Technology planed to hold. After that, professor Zhang and director Li visited the relative Optics Laboratory of School of Physics and talked with Professor Wang Shufang, Mai Yaohua and Yu Wei of School of Physics.

In order to broaden the international horizons of our students, the International Cooperation Office also arranged a program presentation of the scholarship delivered by Professor Zhang in Room 320 of the main building. Professor Zhang introduced the basic situation of Masdar Institute of Science and Technology and the scholarship program, and also answered questions from our students.

Masdar Institute of Science and Technology is located in the Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE, and is the first graduate school focusing on advanced energy and sustainable development around the world. Masdar Institute of Science and Technology has about 100 professors at present, mostly got doctor’s degree from world-famous universities. And there are also more than 100 research scientists, more than 500 master degree candidates and doctoral candidates from more than 60 countries around the globe.
